Ohio BEEF Cattle letter

Dear Ohio BEEF Cattle letter subscribers,

The April 10, issue # 831, is now posted to the web at: http://beef.osu.edu/beef/beefApr1013.html

It’s calving season, and occasionally a calf or cow may die without apparent reason. This week Dr. Shulaw discusses protocol that can lead to diagnosis and aid in the prevention of future similar issues.

Don’t forget this Saturday’s Ohio Seedstock Improvement Sale beginning at noon at the Union Stockyards. Find details in last week’s BEEF Letter, or under this link.

This week’s articles include:

  • Disease and Animal Health Diagnosis
  • Forage Focus: Tall Fescue: Renovation or Eradication?
  • Managing Pastures for Greater Drought Tolerance
  • Beef Trade Issues and Challenges
